You may be familiar with the word bio-impedance or perhaps body composition. These are only some of the analysis techniques employed by The EIS System. Have you ever weighed yourself with a scale that calculates your body composition (fat mass, lean mass, extra cellular & intra cellular weight) Gym enthusiasts use body composition measuring techniques to determine their lean & fat mass ratio which is the cornerstone of individual health and fitness

The theory of bio-impedance was originally introduced in the 1940’s by a scientist called Nyboer. His study illustrated the electrical resistivity of blood which allowed for the measurement of the variation of blood flow. In fact in 1966 Kubicek expanded on the original work of Nyboer and revolutionized the bio-impedance industry so much that NASA began to use bio-impedance measurements to determine the systolic volume of injection with the astronauts

Subsequently in 1990 the first Thoracic Impedance Measuring device was approved by the FDA. In 1995, The FDA recognizing the tremendous value of Bio-impedance in the medical field approved the bio-impedance method for the calculation of lean and fat mass

Constant research in this field resulted in the validation of bio impedance tomography. The T Scan TS 2000 proved to be a remarkable device in the screening of breast cancer with many doctors preferring this method of breast cancer detection.
